Detailed notifications and other options

On the right side of the task detail header, there are more options that you can use to work with the task:

Control detailed notifications

In the top right corner of the task detail, there is a button to turn detailed notifications on/off. Additionally, using the menu under "Notifications" next to this icon, you can delete alerts that appear in the "Notifications" tab of the right panel.

Options

The task options can be found in the top right corner under the 3 dots icon. Depending on the status of the task and the rights of the logged in user, we have some of the following options available:

  • Move - The option to move the task to another project or section.
  • Change to separate task - Option to create a separate task from a subtask.
  • Merge task - Option to merge a task with another task. By selecting the parent task and then merging, all merged tasks are automatically cancelled, and an email notification is sent to the owners of all tasks notifying them of the merge. The owners of the merged tasks are automatically added as followers of the parent task. The merged tasks can be found in the "Merge" tab in the parent task details.
  • Change to subtask - Option to additionally create a subtask of another task from a separate task.
  • Copy Task - Option to copy an existing task with its properties, except trackers, notifications, owner, subtasks and comments. Attributes are also copied, but only those that are filled in when the task is created (see attribute properties).
  • Escalate Task - The ability to move a task to another company (you need to have multiple companies selected in the user menu - the original and the one to which the task will be escalated) and its project or team via a new window similar to the task move called "Escalated Task". Escalating a task creates a link between the original and the escalated task. The owner of the escalated task is the original solver if he or she is a member of the target company, otherwise the user who escalated the task. The original task goes into a "Pending Escalated Task" state that hides it from the solver's response tasks, but allows it to be filtered in views. The user can select which objects are transferred:
    • All comments, attachments, ToDo - internal will be changed to public.
    • Only public comments, attachments, ToDo - only public will be transferred.
    • Do not transfer - comments, attachments, ToDo will not be transferred.
    • Private objects will not be transferred.
  • Create Task Template - Option to create a template from a task, which can be used to create a new task and save time. After entering a name, you can use the checkboxes to select which records to save in the template. At the same time, it is possible to enable repetition on the created template, thus setting the automatic generation of the task. Task templates are stored with the user and can be found in the user settings under "Task templates".
  • Archive/Activate - the option to archive the task if it is active or to activate it again.

Start time tracking and create a timesheet

In the task header on the right-hand side we also find controls for:

  • Start time - Pressing this button activates the time measurement for the task, which is then visible in the right panel in the time measurement section.
  • New timesheet - Press this button to create a new timesheet for the task.
