This article explains in detail the system rules for sending notifications when a new task is created in Aliteo. The logic differs slightly depending on whether the task was created via email or directly in the app or via API.
Task creation via email
When creating a task via a received email, the system proceeds as follows:
- Email owner – the sender of the message receives an email confirmation of task creation.
- CC recipients – the creation email is sent to all CC recipients who are not full members of the company, or are in the "Invitation" state.
- Structural conversion – if the system identifies a user in the CC field in the "Invitation" state, it adds them to the task specifically as an email follower (not a regular system follower).
Task creation via app or API
If the task is created directly in the portal UI, or via API, notifications are delivered as follows:
- Email owner – receives an email about task creation.
- Task owner (in Invitation state) – if the owner is a user with this status, they receive a notification.
- Email followers – all specified email followers receive a creation notification.
- Regular followers (in Invitation state) – receive a creation email with one specific exception.
- Solver restricting condition – if a regular follower in the "Invitation" state is simultaneously assigned as a Solver for the task, the creation email is not sent to them for security and logical reasons.
