In your profile settings (Notifications tab) you will find a clear matrix where you can customize in detail what and through which channels you want to be informed about. Three main delivery channels are available: In-app, Email and Push notifications.
In order to receive notifications via Push notifications even when you are not actively using the application, you must enable them on the device by clicking "Turn on for this device" and then confirm the action in the browser popup.
Some key notifications are permanently turned on in the app and cannot be deactivated in the profile (the "In-app" checkbox is grayed out). This applies, for example, to situations where you are assigned to a task for reaction, or when someone directly mentions you in a comment using the "@" sign. However, for these events, you can optionally turn on or off their forwarding to email or via Push notifications.
Other notifications (e.g. changing task status, adding an attachment) can be freely turned on and off across all available channels.
If there is a bell icon next to the notification name, it means you don't have to receive it globally for the whole app. You can turn it on or off only for specific tasks, projects, teams, or the company (if you have rights to them) directly on their detail view.
At the bottom of the settings you will find rules for automatic tracking. If you don't want to manually turn notifications on and off for objects, the system can manage them automatically for you based on your roles.
Notifications can be automatically activated for you if you meet a certain condition on the object:
Once you lose the above role on the object (e.g. you stop being the solver because someone else took over the task), the system can automatically deactivate the subscription based on the rules in the "Turn off notifications if..." section, so you don't receive information that is no longer relevant to you.
