The left panel is primarily used for a kind of setting according to which the tasks will then be displayed in the space in the middle of the screen.
Part of the left panel of the task evidence are so-called views, known to others as filters. In the upper part we turn on 3 predefined filters and these are:
- To react - tasks to which the logged-in user should react. Tasks to react can occur in several cases:
- the user is the owner of the task, there is no defined solver and at the same time the task is not in the project or team reaction, suspended, closed, canceled states,
- the user is the owner of the task and the task is in a state waiting for the owner's reaction,
- the user is the solver of the task and the task is in a solving state or in one of the solving phases,
- the user is part of a group that is solving the task and the task is in a solution state or in one of the solution phases.
- I am solver - the logged in user is the solver of the task and it doesn't matter what the status of the task is,
- I am owner - the logged in user is the owner of the task and does not depend on its status.
Next, below the predefined views, we find the space where the saved views are stored. Views can be saved per user (my category) and per company. Within the company category, views are further broken down by the individual companies in which they have been saved.
New view
Create a new view by pressing the button for new view. After pressing it, we continue setting the view using the displayed dialog box in which we set the following parameters:
- Company - define the company (or all companies) over which the view will be defined. In case of the All companies option, the other parameters will offer only the data that is the same for all companies - this is the standard application data,
- Default view - tasks from the following subsets have been selected (All, To react, I am solver, I am owner),
- Task Area - tasks will be selected by area, either all or only management or only project tasks. For project tasks, we define the workspace from which we want to filter the tasks,
- Contains tags - tasks that contain the selected tag will be selected. If multiple labels are selected, the tasks that contain all the selected labels will be displayed. If the user wants to view tasks that contain all of the selected tags, but also wants to view tasks that contain at least one of the selected tags, this is enabled by activating the 'At least one of the selected tags' toggle,
- Does not contain tags - tasks that do not contain any of the selected tags will be selected,
- Task name - tasks that contain the specified string will be selected,
- Solution status - we define the task statuses that we are interested in when selecting tasks. If a specific workspace is selected, we can also select specific solution phases,
- Solver - this option only appears when filtering tasks in a specific company,
- Owner - this option appears only when filtering tasks in a specific company,
- Follower - this option appears only when filtering tasks in a specific company,
- Attachments,
- Comments,
- Conditions - we can define various condition relationships in the view that specify the view. When creating a condition, we select from the available data in the new condition menu. The condition menu includes both standard task data that are always available and data that are related to workspace settings (these data are only available when filtering project tasks or after selecting a specific workspace). Several conditions can be defined and it is possible to define a logical relationship between them at the EQUALS or OR,
- Other options - other options include additional settings:
- Including solver groups - the view will also show tasks that are solved by solver groups,
- Including archived - the view will also show tasks that are in the "archived" state.
After defining the view, press the "Apply view" button. The applied view will be displayed in the left panel at the top. If we are satisfied with the results, we can save the view by clicking the "Save view" button.
Based on the permissions and view definitions, we can save the view as:
- My view - this view is only available to the user who created it,
- Company view - internal users only - this view is only available to internal users of the company. This view can only be stored on the company by the company administrator,
- Company view - internal and external users - the view is available to both internal and external users of the company. This view can only be stored on the company by the company administrator.
Enter the name of the view and save the view using the "Save view" button.
The view is automatically selected as activated and can be deselected via the "x" icon in the top right corner of the grey window in the top left panel.
Individual views can be marked as favourites by clicking the star icon next to the view name. If there is at least 1 favourite view in a given category, the favourites filter will be activated - the star icon next to the category name.
Individual views can be edited or deleted in the company settings (for views stored on the company) or in the user settings (for views stored on the user).
