Views (known as filters to some) are user-defined settings that specify what timesheets the user wants to view.
At the top are the predefined views and below them are the user-defined views.
Among the predefined views are those that are linked to the logged-in user and the period to which their timesheets belong (timesheet date, not creation date):
- My today - logged in user's timesheets belonging to the current day,
- My yesterday - logged in user's work reports that belong to yesterday,
- My this week - logged in user's work reports that belong to the days of the current week (Monday - Sunday),
- My last week - logged in user's timesheets belonging to the days of the previous week (Monday - Sunday),
- My this month - the logged-in user's timesheets that belong to the days of the current month (1st to last day),
- My last month - the logged-in user's timesheets belonging to the days of the previous month (1st to last day).
We divide user-defined views into 2 main categories:
- My - these are user-defined views that only the user can see,
- Company - these are views defined by the company administrator, which are stored in the company and, according to the settings, can be seen by other members of the company. The following types of views can be stored on the company:
- Company view - internal users only - this view is shown only to internal users of the company,
- Company view - internal and external users - this view is displayed to both internal and external users of the company.
Create a new view by pressing the "New View" button. In the displayed dialog box we then edit the view settings we have the following options available:
- Company - we define the company for which we want to display the timesheets. The option of all companies is also available, but this will limit the menu for other settings. Logically, only those options that are available in all companies (standard data) are availabl,
- Timesheet area - we define what type of timesheets we are interested in:
- All
- Managed - these are timesheets created over a management task, project, team and company,
- Project - these are timesheets created over a project task. With this type of timesheets we can then select from the available workspaces,
- Timesheet name - here we can specify a string that will be searched in the timesheet name,
- Owner (available in case of selecting a specific company) - will be filtered timesheets, which are owned by me or a specific selected user,
- Verification - display of timesheets for verification purposes (available only to users with the authorisation to verify timesheets of another user):
- All - displays all timesheets,
- I have to verifiy - displays the timesheets that need to be verified.
- Conditions - we can create a combination of multiple conditions that more narrowly specify specific timesheets. Both standard data for labor reports and company or workspace specific data are available.
- Period - this is the period of time into which the date of the timesheet belongs, i.e. the day to which the timesheet relates. WARNING: this is not the date the timesheet was created.
After setting the view in the dialog box, press the "Apply view" button. The applied view will appear at the top of the left panel in a black box. After checking the data, i.e. the list of timesheets, based on the applied view, we can still edit the view or save it if necessary. We save the view by pressing the "Save view" button and in the following dialog box we select one of the view types - mine, internal company users only, internal and external company users (explained in the article above).
After saving a view, the view is available in the list of all views by category. Individual views can be marked as favorites (star icon), thus editing the list of views the user is interested in. If there is at least 1 view marked as favourite, then the option for favourite views is automatically enabled - the star icon of the category.
Client filter
The client filter is separated by a gray line and is a generated filter, i.e. a filter based on the retrieved view data. The client filter setting is not saved in any way and is used to additionally reduce the view results.
