Project sections in the workspace

In the project it is possible to view the project tasks in the kanban section (more info in the chapter project tasks in the project). Kanban sections will be displayed in the project after we set the "Use sections" toggle to on in the project settings. The sections set on the workspace are automatically copied to the project and are not associated with the workspace in any way. This means that when changes are made to the workspace, these changes are not reflected in the project settings. Naturally, a change in the project settings does not affect the workspace settings in any way either.

Sections are added using the "New Section" button. After filling in the section name and color, the new section will appear at the end of the section list. 

It is possible to create a tree structure of sections by grabbing a created section by the 6 dots icon and drag and drop to move it where you need it - either to change the order, or by dropping it over another section to create a new section level.

The section has several settings of its own:

• It is possible to place a task - this rule allows or disallows moving any existing task to this section,
• It is possible to add a task - by enabling this setting, a "New Task" button will be added to the section, which can be pressed to add a task directly to this section,
• It is possible to add a task for an external user - this rule distinguishes the right to add a task for a user with the right to be an external member of the project,
• Default section for adding a task - if the task is added outside of the Kanban sections, this section is selected as the default when adding a new task. Also, if the task is created other than in the application (for example by email) the task will be assigned to this "Default section". This setting can only be active on one section in the project.
