MS Office 365 connection

Connecting the ALITEO application with the Microsoft 365 calendar requires proper configuration within your corporate environment. This process takes place in the Microsoft Entra ID interface (formerly Azure Active Directory) and is essential for ensuring secure and seamless access to data.

Connection Settings in the Aliteo Application

  1. After selecting Office 365 as the calendar provider, click the "Verify" button.
  2. A dialog box will open, in which you sign in with the Office 365 account whose calendar you want to connect.

When connecting the calendar, you may encounter the following situations, which usually require intervention from your IT department:

An administrator consent request is displayed

This is the most common scenario, where the user does not have sufficient permissions to grant the application access to data themselves.

  • Cause: Corporate policy requires an administrator to approve every external application.
  • Solution: Fill out the form with a justification directly on this screen and send the request. Subsequently, contact your IT administrator to approve the request.

Login is blocked by organization policy

Some organizations strictly block the possibility for users to sign in to any new third-party applications.

  • Cause: The login stops with an error message (e.g., "You do not have access to this") without the possibility to send a request.
  • Solution: Ask the IT administrator to manually add the ALITEO application to the list of allowed enterprise applications.

Error when using a personal account

If you attempt to sign in with a personal account, the process will fail already during authentication with Microsoft.

  • Cause: The connection cannot be set up with a personal account (@outlook.cz, @hotmail.com, etc.).
  • Solution: You must use a work or school Office 365 account for a successful connection.

The access request cannot be sent

In some cases, information about the need for consent is displayed, but the form to request it is missing.

  • Cause: Creating requests is not enabled for the company's users.
  • Solution: Contact the IT administrator and inform them that the process for creating consent requests (Admin consent requests) is not enabled in your organization and the application must be allowed manually.
