Event creation

You can create a new event (such as a standard meeting, team meeting, or project meeting) by clicking the "New" button or by double-clicking in the calendar.

In the displayed dialog box, fill in the following information:

  • Event Name
  • Event Type – Select between a standard event, a team meeting, or a project meeting.
  • Event Start and End
  • Event Settings – There are two options available:
    • All Day – For all-day events.
    • Recurrence – For creating a series of regularly repeating events. When enabled, the "Recurrence" dialog box will appear, where you can set the details of the repetition.
  • Team or Project Selection (for meetings only) – Select the company and the specific team or project where you want to create the meeting.
  • Meeting Participant Selection (for meetings only) – Choose members from the selected project or team.
  • Location – Enter the location of the event.
  • Event Description – Add a manual description of the event.
  • Guests (for meetings only) – Invite external participants who do not use ALITEO by entering their email addresses.
  • Attendees (for events only) – Invite standard attendees by entering their email addresses.
  • Priority – Set the priority of the event.
  • Show As – Set the event's commitment status (e.g., Free, Busy).

  • Resources – Add resources needed for the event.

The ALITEO application is not a mail server. To create an event and invite participants, the event organizer must have their calendar synchronized with an external service (e.g., Exchange). Without this synchronization, it is not possible to create events or send invitations.
