Connecting the calendar in ALITEO with your external calendar allows you to easily manage events from both systems at the same time. This makes organizing your time easier and scheduling events faster.
ALITEO currently supports integration with calendars from providers such as Exchange, Office 365 and Gmail.
How synchronisation works
- Two-way connection: Events you create in ALITEO are automatically recorded in your external calendar, and vice versa.
- Event updates: Any changes to a linked event (e.g. time, attendees, description) are automatically synchronized across both calendars.
Event statuses are automatically synchronized between the two events.
Events in the calendar can have different states that reflect their connections:
- Linked event: The event was created when the calendar was connected.
- Unlinked event: The event was created when the calendar was not connected.
- Cancelled event: The event no longer exists in the external calendar, but is still visible in ALITEO.
- Unknown event: The connection to the external calendar could not be verified.
Connecting and disconnecting events
You can connect or disconnect all events created in ALITEO to the calendar. Disconnecting deletes the event from the service provider's calendar, and the event remains available only in ALITEO.
Connection status
The linking status of an event to an external calendar can be found in the event preview in the "Service provider status" field. Possible states are:
- Event is connected: Event is successfully synchronized.
- Event not found: Connection is running, but the event is not found in the external calendar.
- Provider changed: The calendar has been linked to another provider.
- Connection error.
