General description of the property

By attribute rights restriction, we mean the ability to set the internal and external user's right to the attribute.

For shared attributes, we can set the following rights:

  • External user's rights for attribute - this right contains 2 options:
    • Hide - the attribute is not displayed to the external user,
    • View - the attribute is displayed to the external user, but they are not able to change it.

For other types of attributes we have the following rights available:

  • Internal user's rights for attribute - this right contains 3 options:
    • Hide - the attribute is not displayed to the internal user,
    • View - the attribute is displayed to the internal user, but they are not able to change it,
    • Edit - the internal user sees the attribute and has the possibility to edit it at the same time.
  • External user's rights for attribute - this right contains 3 options:
    • Hide - the attribute is not displayed to the external user,
    • View - the attribute is displayed to the external user, but they are not able to change it,
    • Edit - the external user sees the attribute and has the possibility to edit it at the same time.

If an attribute is created in the project based on a shared attribute, the rights restriction settings in the project take precedence over the rights settings of the shared attribute.
