The way the comment was created (whether written directly in the portal or by replying to an email) has no effect on delivery; the system strictly follows the comment type.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notification trigger<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A notification is triggered when one of these two conditions is met:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A new <strong>public comment<\/strong> was added to a public task.<\/li><li>A new <strong>internal comment<\/strong> was added to an internal task.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notification recipients<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the input condition is met, the notification is sent to the following participants:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Anonymous task owner<\/strong> \u2013 receives the notification, but only provided they are not the author of the comment.<\/li><li><strong>Email followers<\/strong> \u2013 all email followers of the task receive the notification, but only provided they are not the authors of the comment.<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article describes the logic of triggering notifications when a new comment is added to an existing task.
