{"id":3470,"date":"2026-03-02T07:58:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T07:58:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.aliteo.com\/?p=3470"},"modified":"2026-06-28T13:22:51","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T13:22:51","slug":"email-sender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.aliteo.com\/en\/email-sender\/","title":{"rendered":"Email sender"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">This module allows all email communication from the ALITEO application to be sent under your own corporate identity.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Licensing Requirements<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">To activate this feature, your company must have an <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"75\">Enterprise<\/b> license or a <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"99\">Premium<\/b> license with an active <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"130\">Company Branding<\/b> add-on.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"6\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Email Settings<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol data-path-to-node=\"7\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Open Module<\/b>: In settings, go to <b data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"32\">Company Branding<\/b> &gt; <b data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"51\">Sender Email<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Add Domain<\/b>: Click the <b data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"22\">\"Add custom domain\"<\/b> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Enter Domain<\/b>: In the displayed window, enter the name of your domain or subdomain and confirm by clicking <b data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"106\">Save<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">DNS Configuration (For IT Admins)<\/b>: Technical information for your domain administrator will then be displayed. It is necessary to set the appropriate <b data-path-to-node=\"7,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"150\">CNAME records<\/b> (for mail_cname and DKIM keys) with your provider so that the ALITEO system can securely send emails on your behalf.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,4,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Final Address Setup<\/b>: Once the domain is verified (status <b data-path-to-node=\"7,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"57\">\"Verified\"<\/b>), set the specific email addresses and names:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Sender<\/b>: The address emails are sent from (e.g., <code data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"48\">helpdesk@yourdomain.com<\/code>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Reply<\/b>: The address users will reply to (e.g., <code data-path-to-node=\"7,4,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"46\">reply@yourdomain.com<\/code>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"8\"><b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Important Technical Note: Subaddressing<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">The domain and email server used for sending <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"85\">must strictly support subaddressing<\/b> (also known as plus addressing).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Why is it necessary?<\/b> ALITEO uses the email format with a <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"57\">\"+\"<\/b> (e.g., <code data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"68\">reply+comment.XXXXXXXX@yourdomain.com<\/code>) to match replies to tasks.
